What we collect

Pages you visit

We use Google Analytics 4 (property G-M1H6F6Y6GS). Google sets cookies and similar identifiers and records page views, approximate location, device, browser, and how you arrived. We use that to see which guides are read. We do not use it to name you. Google’s own privacy policy governs their processing.

The host

The site is served through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and security logs to run the network and stop abuse. That is their processing, on their terms.

Email

If you write to us, we get whatever you put in the message: your address, your name if you give it, and the contents. We keep that as long as we need it to reply or to correct a guide.

Theme

If you switch light or dark, that preference is stored in your browser (localStorage). It does not come to our server.

Amazon

Product links go to Amazon. If you follow one, Amazon may set cookies and record that the click came from this site so they can pay a commission. That is Amazon’s data, under Amazon’s privacy policy.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not run a marketing list from this site.
• We do not have user accounts.
• We do not collect payment details. Purchases happen on Amazon.

How long

Analytics retention follows Google’s settings for that property. Emails last as long as the correspondence is useful. Server logs follow Cloudflare’s defaults.

Your choices

You can block cookies in your browser, use a tracker blocker, or write to the address above and ask what we have from you — which, unless you emailed us, is usually nothing we can tie to a name. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under US state privacy laws or GDPR. Use the same address.

Children

This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, we update this page and the date below.
