How we make money

This is the dry page. About is the desk. Standards is the filter.

Commission

Selected by Men is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program. Product links go to Amazon. If you buy through one of those links, Amazon pays this site a commission. The rate is Amazon’s, by category. We do not set it. We do not reorder a list because one category pays more than another.

Clicking a link does not change the price you pay.

Amazon is the storefront

This site is not independent of Amazon. Product links go there because that is where we can check price, stock, and a large sample of verified owner reviews in one place, and because a commission on those purchases is how the site is paid. We do not pretend that is neutrality. We do not pretend Amazon is the only shop that exists. It is the shop this ranking uses.

Brands cannot buy a ranking. Amazon’s commission rate cannot buy one either.

Brand units

We do not accept payment for placement. Unsolicited PR boxes do not get a review.

If we ask for a sample or a loan to check a claim, and we use it, the guide will say so. A sample does not buy a ranking. Live guides on this site are based on manufacturer specifications, current listings, owner reviews, and published editorial tests — not on a box that arrived from a brand.

If a pick disappears

We replace it or we change the ranking. We do not keep a dead button. Cadence and the rest of the editorial rule are on Standards.

How often this is reviewed

Editorial lists: at least every 90 days, or when the product or the facts move. That is on Standards. This page changes if the business model changes.

Prices

Prices in guides are typical US Amazon listings as of the guide’s updated date. They move. Check the live page.
